Nigeria will be playing two friendly matches next month against Ivory Coast and Tunisia, and the head coach has been scouting for youngstars who will feature in the two matches as a way of introducing newer players for a stronger and better team in the future. It is on this note that the German Nigeria head coach, Gernot Rohr has invited two youngsters who are based in the Europe and are ready to train with his team next month.
Tijani, who captained Nigeria to the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup in Brazil, is currently plying his trade in the Austrian Bundesliga with Hartberg, whom he joined on a season-long loan from RB Salzburg in August. Lawal, however, has featured for the Austria U19 and U20 teams previously – his country of birth – but he is still eligible to play for the three-time African champions; Nigeria.
